$1 MILLION (Prize amount to be confirmed. Announcement expected for next year)

Jurassic Park is the name of an american science fiction film (1993)  from a Michael Crichton novel.
The film is set on the fictional island of Isla Nublar, located off Central America’s Pacific Coast near Costa Rica.

There, wealthy businessman John Hammond and a team of genetic scientists have created a wildlife park of de-extinct dinosaurs through DNA manipulation When industrial sabotage leads to a catastrophic shutdown of the park’s power facilities and security precautions, a small group of visitors and Hammond’s grandchildren struggle to survive and escape the perilous island where dinosaurs are in command.

The scenario imagined by the film is in reality a possible one caused by de extition procedures that are already being studied by scientists.

The possibility to revive, through their DNA extinct animals, even humans has always fascinated scientists.

Jurassic Park

The solution can include:

This competition calls for technologies, procedures, systems to allow the revival of extinct species to be chosen by the participants. A revival of an extinct animal is the immediate goal and the expected result of this competition.

The creation of an amusement park with their participation, or others utilization of the de extinct animals could be the end result but is not part of this competition. Competitors must demonstrate the capability through DNA utilization to revive na extinct species and produce a living and healthy new specimen.

Proposal:

Proposals must have a written part to explain the procedures, technologies, scientific approach as an introduction, and a living extinct animal as a demonstration.
